CHARITY & FUNDRAISING EVENTS

GOLF TOURNAMENT
registration software that pays you from the first signup.

You’ve got a date, a course, and a cause worth playing for. What you don’t have is a real headcount — half your “registrations” are a text saying “put me down for a foursome” and the rest are buried in a spreadsheet you last updated on Tuesday.

TourneyCommand is golf tournament registration software built to do the chasing for you. Players sign up and pay on your own event site. Teammates pay their own share. The money lands in your account from the very first signup — and nobody at checkout gets asked to tip a software company.

THE PROBLEM

Registration is the part that
eats your summer.

Verbal commitments don’t pay entry fees. And the closer you get to the day, the more of your time goes to chasing people instead of making the event good. The hard part isn’t collecting names — any form does that. It’s the chasing: the signup, the payment, and getting it from every member of the team, without you following up on each one.

If you’ve run a charity scramble before, you know how it goes. You start with good intentions and a spreadsheet. Three weeks later you’re a headless chicken: texting the guy who said he’d bring a team, emailing the sponsor who said “yes” in May and hasn’t paid, and trying to work out whether “Dave’s foursome” is three people or four.

HOW IT WORKS

How registration works on TourneyCommand

For your golfers

Players register on your event's own website — built by the wizard when you set up the tournament, so there's no separate form and no generic ticketing page with someone else's logo on it. They register as an individual or a team. When a team registers, split pay lets each member pay their own share; the system chases the stragglers, so you don't send the awkward text.

Where your money goes

Where your registration money goes,
and when.

This is the part most registration pages skip. They’re happy to list features and much quieter about the money — and it’s the part that matters most when every dollar is meant for a cause. Our Golf Tournament registration software keeps us honest.

You get paid from the first signup

A lot of platforms collect your money, hold it, and pay out after the event — so you’re fronting deposits for the course, food and prizes while the money your golfers already paid sits in a vendor’s account. TourneyCommand never holds your funds. Payments go straight to your Square account or bank from the first signup. It’s your money, from day one.

Watch for the checkout “tip”

Some “free” platforms make their money another way: at checkout they add a support the platform tip, usually pre-selected at around 15%, framed to look like generosity. Many golfers assume it goes to your cause. It goes to the software company. We don’t do that — no tip line, no platform percentage, no surprise at checkout.

Flat, published pricing

On-course games (longest drive, closest to the pin, the golf ball cannon), live scoring and the Big Board are all included. Nothing’s behind a higher tier, and there’s no mid-season price shock. Not sure what to charge your own golfers? Here’s how to set your golf tournament entry fee. Comparing platforms? See the golf tournament registration software cost, side by side.

Card payments carry your own Square processing fee — but that’s between you and Square, at your Square rate. TourneyCommand adds nothing on top.

Sponsors

Sponsors register on the same site.

Sponsors make most charity tournaments possible, and they’re even harder to chase than golfers. Corporate sponsors want to see a real event website before they put their name on something — with TourneyCommand golf tournament registration software, they get one. Here’s how to get sponsors for a charity golf tournament, step by step.

  • They pick a tier, pay, and submit their logo — all in the same place your golfers register.
  • If a sponsor hasn’t sent their logo as the print deadline nears, the system chases them for it.
  • Your signage is never missing the company that paid for hole 7.

Event day

From registration to event day.

Registration doesn’t end when the form is submitted — it sets up your whole day. When players arrive, a volunteer scans their QR code to check them in, and they pop up on the Big Board with a greeting. Our favourite: “Watch out — warn the marshal, Wally has just checked in.” Once play starts, the Big Board becomes a live scorecard; at day’s end it runs your presentation and raffle wheel.

Honestly: software still needs people. You’ll want a volunteer on check-in and a few selling 50/50 and raffle tickets. The difference is they spend the day with your golfers, not with a clipboard and a cash box. Here’s how to run a charity golf scramble, step by step, including volunteer roles and a day-of timeline.

Indoor events

Running an indoor event? That’s different, on purpose.

Indoor golf leagues and long-drive competitions aren’t just outdoor tournaments moved inside — different formats, different rhythm, different pricing. Plenty of platforms treat them the same; we don’t. See how TourneyCommand handles indoor events.

Canadian data

Your registrant data stays in Canada

Registration means collecting names, emails, phone numbers and payment records from your golfers and sponsors. TourneyCommand golf tournament registration software stores that data on our own servers in Milton, Ontario, under Canadian law. Many golf platforms are US-based, which puts Canadian registrant data under US law. If you’re a Canadian charity, club or organizer, it’s worth asking every platform where your golfers’ data actually lives.

Who built this

Built by someone who's run these events

TourneyCommand wasn’t designed in a boardroom. I owned an indoor golf facility, The Mad Hitter, and I play the game. I’ve been the organizer with the spreadsheet, and the golfer at registration wondering if anyone knows I paid. So when people ask “Why pick you over a platform that’s been around 15 years?” — here’s the honest answer: a true end-to-end system with no hidden fees, no paywalls and no surprises, your money is yours from day one, and a real person in your corner.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I get registration money right away, or do you hold it?

Right away. Card payments go to your own Square account and e-Transfers straight to your bank, from the first signup. TourneyCommand never holds your funds.

What does golf tournament registration software cost?

A flat $1,250 for outdoor events — registration, payments, on-course games, live scoring and the Big Board included. No percentage of what you raise.

Is there a fee or tip charged to my golfers at checkout?

No platform tip and no added platform percentage. Your golfers pay your entry fee (your own Square card-processing fee aside, which goes to Square, not us).

Can each player pay their own share of a team entry?

Yes — split pay lets each member pay their share, and the system reminds anyone who hasn't paid.

How fast can my registration page be live?

Under 15 minutes, if you answer all the wizard's questions. Your registration page is part of the event website the wizard builds.

Do I need to be technical to set it up?

No. If you can log into Command Center with a username and password, you can run a full tournament.

Where is my registrant data stored?

On TourneyCommand's own servers in Milton, Ontario, under Canadian law.

Can sponsors register and pay on the same site?

Yes. Sponsors choose a tier, pay, and upload their logo on your event site, and they're reminded automatically if their materials are missing before your print deadline.
